CS Sedan-Ardennes scuppered Paris Saint-Germain FC’s hopes of going to the summit of the French First Division on Sunday with a 3-1 win.
Wasted chance
PSG could have leapfrogged AJ Auxerre into top spot after the leaders lost 3-1 against RC Lens on Saturday, but Luis Fernandez’s side wasted the chance and remain in second place.
Asuar double
The visitors levelled after Stéphane Noro had opened the scoring for Sedan with a spectacular strike from distance through Frédéric Dohu - but midfield player Ludovic Asuar rendered the goal meaningless by scoring twice in the second-half.
Scoreless draw
Sedan's fourth win of the season moved them 14th, behind FC Girondins de Bordeaux, who could only manage a scoreless draw with FC Nantes Atlantique in a bad-tempered match with five bookings.
