Article body
AC Perugia have lost the services of their captain Giovanni Tedesco for up to a month after he suffered a calf strain.
Three goals
Tedesco, 30, has been in fine form this season, scoring three goals in six matches. However, he was hurt during Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat by AC Chievo Verona and substituted in the second half. Although the injury was first thought to be slight, subsequent examination has revealed he will be out for three to four weeks.
Chance for others
The midfield player’s absence will be noticeable in the Perugia side that has won just two of their first eight Serie A fixtures this season. Coach Serse Cosmi will replace him in the lineup with either Luigi Pagliuca or former S.S. Lazio midfield player Roberto Baronio.
