PFC Litex Lovech captain and Bulgarian international Stoycho Stoilov is fighting for his life after being shot following a road rage incident.
Four shots
The 31-year old was taken to Blagoevgrad hospital after a collision with another car while driving his jeep. Following a quarrel, the man driving the other vehicle fired four shots at Stoilov, which hit the player in the chest, liver, arm and his right leg.
Broken ankle
This incident happened only five days after Stoilov fractured his ankle during his team's match against PFC CSKA Sofia, an injury that had ruled him out until the New Year.
'A lot of work to do'
"His chest and leg are severely damaged and his condition is still critical. I do not have time to say anything more, because we have a lot of work to do," said Dr Mirko Rizov, who operated on Stoilov.

Stoilov, who has previously played for PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad, CSKA Sofia, PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich, and in Germany for 1. FC Nürnberg. He has one goal in ten caps for the national team and scored 33 times in over 200 Bulgarian Premier League matches.
