Bulgarian international Stoycho Stoilov's condition is improving after he was shot on 15 November.

PFC Litex Lovech captain and Bulgarian international Stoycho Stoilov regained consciousness over the weekend after being shot during a road rage incident on 15 November.

No longer in danger
The 31-year old was shot four times, in the chest, liver, arm and leg, after a quarrel with another driver after their two cars collided. "What is important is that Stoilov's life is not in danger anymore," said surgeon Stefan Strugarov of Blagoevgrad hospital. "I cannot yet tell how much time will he need for rehabilitation but we can be sure that it will be no less than several months."

Ten caps
The incident happened only five days after Stoilov fractured his ankle during his team's match against PFC CSKA Sofia, an injury that had ruled him out until the New Year. Stoilov, who has previously played for PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad, CSKA Sofia, PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich, and in Germany for 1. FC Nürnberg, has one goal in ten games for the national team and has scored 33 times in over 200 Bulgarian Premier League matches.
