The Bulgarian Football Union has overturned a two-game home ban recently imposed on PFC Slavia Sofia

The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) has decided to overturn a two-game home ban imposed on PFC Slavia Sofia for an incident involving their physiotherapist.

Alleged punch
Slavia physio Ivan Ivanov was alleged to have punched PFC Cherno More Varna player Vladimir Gerasimov following an exchange of words between the player and Slavia’s Iordan Petkov.

Not on team list
Initially, the BFU ruled yesterday that Slavia had to play their next two home matches at least 80km away from Sofia. However, after it emerged that Ivanov was not on the official team list for the game, he had to be treated as a spectator and his actions deemed a minor offence. Slavia have been fined for Ivanov’s actions.
