The Football Federation of Ukraine has given bans to two FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih players for assaulting a match official.
Both sent off
Goalkeeper Goalkeeper Oleh Ostapenko and team captain Valentin Platonov have been given ten-match and five-match bans respectively. Both were punished for assaulting an assistant referee in the Ukrainian Cup quarter-final second-leg match on 24 November against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Kryvbas lost 4-1 and had both players sent off.
Aghahowa also banned
Shakhtar striker Julius Aghahowa was also given a three-match ban for an incident involving a Kryvbas defender during the same game. Another three-match ban has been handed to FC Dynamo Kyiv's Aleksandr Khatskevich after he assaulted FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk player Ruslan Rotan in the last league game before the winter break. It is his second ban of the year, following a six-match ban for an assault on a referee.
