FC PAOK Thessaloniki have signed former AEK Athens FC goalkeeper Elias Atmatsidis on a free transfer.
'I am honoured'
The 34-year-old, who had just been released by AEK after ten-and-a-half years at the club has signed a contract with PAOK until June 2004. "PAOK have been interested in me for some time now and I am honoured to finally be part of this team," said Atmatsidis.
New deal
The club have also renewed the contract of 26-year-old striker Armand Feutchine. The Cameroonian will now be under contract for another two-and-a-half years until June 2005, having originally joined the club from PAS Giannina in July 2001. "I had offers from abroad, but I wanted to stay in Thessalonika and the one who made that possible was the coach, Angelos Anastassiadis," said Feutchine.
International hopes
"He has confidence in me, I am a regular in the squad and that has helped me to be a regular in my national team as well. It would be risky to change sides now, since this summer Cameroon have various games to play and I want to be in the best shape possible."
