Article body
Short-lived comeback
The Slovakian right wing-back limped out of the goalless draw at Leeds United AFC on Saturday with medial knee ligament damage, and will be ruled out for three to four weeks. The match marked Balis's first appearance for four games following a heavy cold and the excellent form of his deputy Adam Chambers, but he lasted only 35 minutes before being replaced by Ronnie Wallwork.
International blow
In addition to the English Premiership games he will miss, the injury could also force Balis out of Slovakia's friendly against Romania in the Cyprus International Tournament in Larnaca on 12 February.
