One of the girls died at the scene, the other is in intensive care and Musolitin's wife, who was travelling with him, was also injured.

Musolitin started his career as a midfield player with FC CSA Odesa, moving on to FC Chornomorets Odesa where he played in the side that twice finished runners-up in the Ukrainian Premier League. Police investigation
The striker made his debut for Ukraine in May 2002, scoring in a game against Yugoslavia but he has been without a club more recently. As a free agent, Musolitin had been training with FC Volyn Lutsk and was considering signing for the club, but a police investigation into the accident and the stressful circumstances surrounding it may have put his career on hold.
