Not finished yet
The 34-year-old utility player has been with the Rotterdam club since 1996 and is hopeful he can achieve more success. "I want to do my utmost to become champions again with Feyenoord next season," he said. "We have more than enough qualities for that."
Finest hour
Van Wonderen played five times in the UEFA Champions League first group stage this season but was unable to help Feyenoord qualify for the next phase. He was a key member in the team that won the UEFA Cup in 2001/02, the finest hour in a club career that began with NEC Nijmegen and then took in NAC Breda before Feyenoord came calling.
Buffel hope
Meanwhile, Feyenoord also have high hopes of renewing 22-year-old forward Thomas Buffel's contract as his present deal expires in the summer. The Belgian international has already stated that he wants to stay in Rotterdam despite attracting attention from Germany.
