Cédric Bardon scored the only goal of the game after 32 minutes to condemn Lille to their 14th defeat of the season. The victory, played in front of a crowd of 12,000 at the Roudourou stadium, consolidated Guingamp's 12th place in the standings but left the visitors teetering on the brink of the drop zone.

Relegation struggle
Lille, with only one win in their last ten matches, are 16th in the 20-team table, just two points clear of fourth-bottom Montpellier Hérault SC and a further four above last-placed ES Troyes Aube Champagne. Claude Puel's side still have to face CS Sedan-Ardennes and AC Ajaccio - both in the bottom four - in their final eight games of the season.

Bordeaux chance
At the other end of the table, FC Girondins de Bordeaux can move second on goal difference with maximum points from their away match at RC Strasbourg on Wednesday evening.
