Frustrating blow
The 32-year-old sustained the injury trying to prevent what proved to be the deciding goal of Sunday's 2-1 Serie A defeat by Torino Calcio. Sogliano was replaced immediately, and underwent a scan today which confirmed he needed three to four weeks' rest before he could resume training.
Experienced defender
Sogliano has made 16 league appearances this term for mid-table Perugia. The Renato Curi side occupy tenth place in Serie A with 34 points from 26 games. The centre-back joined Perugia in 1998 after spells with Torino, Ancona Calcio, AS Lucchese-Libertas and US Ravenna.
