PFC CSKA Sofia forward Velizar Dimitrov has been voted Bulgarian Players' Player of the Season for 2002/2003.

Successful first season
Dimitrov, who arrived at CSKA from PFC Marek Dupnitza last summer, scored 12 league goals as the championship returned to the Bulgarska Armia stadium after six years of waiting. He succeeds another CSKA player, Vladimir Manchev, having come third last year. Georgi Chilikov, who scored a league best 22 goals for PFC Levski Sofia this season, finished second in this year's vote.

Gargorov honoured again
CSKA playmaker Emil Gargorov gained the Players' Young Player of the Season award for a second consecutive year. Gargorov was CSKA's leading league goalscorer this season with 14 goals. Last season he won the award as a PFC Lokomotiv Sofia player but, like Dimitrov, was bought by CSKA in the summer. CSKA coach Stoycho Mladenov won his category.

Vote details
All the awards were voted for by Bulgaria's top-flight players. The vote was organised by the National Syndicate of Bulgarian Footballers.
