Belgian champions Club Brugge KV have signed Czech player David Rozehnal from SK Sigma Olomouc on a four-year contract after agreeing terms with his old club yesterday.

Transfer fee
The 22-year-old defender, who helped the Czech Republic to win last year's UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Switzerland, scoring a goal against Italy in the semi-finals, has been transferred for a fee of around €500,000.

Sigma old boys
Rozehnal, who played 72 games in the Czech league, will join his former Sigma team-mate Marek Spilár at Brugge. He is the second player to leave Sigma this week, after another U-21 star, Radoslav Kovác, checked in at AC Sparta Praha on Monday.

Loan signing
Sigma have called in reinforcements, signing Sparta striker Peter Babnic on loan. The 26-year-old has played at FC Zlín on loan this season, scoring five league goals. He also scored once for Sparta in their UEFA Champions League campaign.
