Slovakia's FK Laugaricio Trencín have changed their name, coach and owners to avoid bankruptcy.

Narrow escape
The financially troubled club narrowly escaped relegation last season after finishing ninth in the ten-team Superliga. They have now have been bought by Czech company Synot, who also own 1. FC Synot in the Czech Republic, and will be known as SA Trencín – an abbreviation of the names of Synot and Araver, the previous owners of the club.

János confirmed as coach
Synot will own 60 per cent of the club, Araver 30 per cent and the city of Trencín the remainder, while the former 1. FC Synot sports director Igor Stefanko has been appointed SA's general manager. Anton János will replace Anton Dragun as coach and has agreed a two-year deal.
