Saha lifts Fulham to fifth

The victory took the west London club up two places to fifth in the standings with 21 points, while Portsmouth stayed eleventh with 15 points. Saha put Fulham ahead on the half-hour mark with a low drive from just inside a crowded penalty area that flew past Portsmouth's Dutch goalkeeper Harald Wapenaar.

Berger sent off
The Frenchman notched his eighth league goal of the season two minutes later with a header from Lee Clark's cross. Portsmouth had Czech midfield player Patrik Berger sent off in the closing stages for dissent.
