1. FC Kaiserslautern scored four second-half goals, including a hat-trick from Germany striker Miroslav Klose, to turn a
2-0 deficit against Hertha HSC Berlin into a resounding 4-2 Bundesliga victory on Sunday.
Visitors ahead
Nando Rafael had given Hertha a 37th-minute lead which was doubled thanks to Aleksander Knavs' own goal on the stroke of half-time - and it looked as though the visitors were on the way to recording their third win in four league games. But Kaiserslautern were a force to be reckoned with after the interval.
Tchato strikes
It took just two minutes of the second half for Klose to find the net and his equaliser came with 21 minutes still to play. Then, after Cameroon defender Bill Tchato scored his first goal for the club to put Kaiserslautern ahead on 77 minutes, Klose completed his remarkable hat-trick to wrap up the scoring.
Solitary Sanou
Klose's heroics helped Kaiserslautern climb two places to 12th while disappointing Hertha remain just one point above the relegation zone. In the day's other game, an 81st-minute goal from Wilfried Sanou was enough to give SC Freiburg a 1-0 victory against struggling Eintracht Frankfurt.
