Juve joy as Messina shock Milan

Members

Juventus FC maintained their 100 per cent Serie A record while FC Messina Peloro won at AC Milan.

Juventus FC made it three Serie A wins out of three this season with a 3-0 victory at UC Sampdoria, but FC Messina Peloro are hot on their heels after beating the champions AC Milan 2-1 at the San Siro.

Juve win
Alessandro Del Piero struck a 19th-minute penalty to set Juventus on their way in Genoa. Del Piero was replaced by Zlatan Ibrahimovic on 62 minutes, and within seven minutes the Swedish international had claimed his second Serie A goal. David Trezeguet scored three minutes from the end to confirm victory.

Messina delight
Messina, back in the top-flight after a 39-year absence, beat AS Roma at the weekend and followed it up in superb fashion at Milan - who had not lost at home in Serie A since December. Giuseppe Pancaro headed Milan into a 54th-minute lead, but Domenico Giampà levelled within seconds and four minutes later Alessandro Parisi's cross was headed in by Riccardo Zampagna.

Inter drama
The win takes Messina up to third, two points behind Juventus and level with S.S. Lazio, who beat Brescia Calcio 2-0 with goals from Tommaso Rocchi and Fernando Couto. Rocchi was sent off in the second half. There was more drama at Atalanta BC where the home side led twice against FC Internazionale Milano only for Adriano's last-gasp goal to give Inter a 3-2 victory.
