Adriano scored twice in four minutes to help FC Internazionale Milano earn their first home win of the Serie A season against Udinese Calcio on Sunday.
Vieri strike
The striker single-handedly put Roberto Mancini's side 2-0 up within 12 minutes at the Giuseppe Meazza and although Stefano Mauri halved the deficit five minutes into the second half, Christian Vieri quickly claimed his first goal of the season to seal undefeated Inter's win.
Pirlo perfection
A solo effort from Andrea Pirlo against Cagliari Calcio gave AC Milan their third away win of the season. Pirlo struck the game's only goal 20 minutes into the match to lift Carlo Ancelotti's side into second spot, three points behind leaders Juventus FC.
Vucinic double
Matteo Brighi helped AC Chievo Verona rise to third with the solitary goal against S.S. Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. US Lecce sit one point below in fourth after 21-year-old Mirko Vucinic scored both goals in a 2-0 defeat of US Città di Palermo.
Atalanta agony
Bologna FC came from behind to win 2-1 at home against Atalanta BC. The visitors took the lead through forward Igor Budan but a Claudio Bellucci penalty and a further strike from Christian Amoroso gave Bologna all three points and leave the Orobici in the bottom three.
Brescia comeback
Brescia Calcio also came from behind, fighting back to beat visiting Parma FC 3-1 with goals from Luigi Di Biagio, Andrea Caracciolo and Daniele Mannini. Italian international Alberto Gilardino has given winless Parma an early lead.
Bazzani on target
The mid-table tussle late on Sunday went the way of ten-man UC Sampdoria, who won 1-0 away against Reggina Calcio thanks to Fabio Bazzani's 36th-minute goal, despite having defender Cristian Zenoni sent off for two bookable offences.
