Early advantage
Djurgården broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Sjölund collected a cross from Tobias Hysén and fired the ball in off the underside of the bar. IFK gradually got back into the game and equalised just after half-time when Niclas Alexandersson curled the ball beyond the reach of Djurgården goalkeeper Pa Dembo Tourray.
Djurgården take control
But within minutes Djurgården regained the lead, Johansson and Sjölund linking nicely before Hysén played a pinpoint ball through the IFK defence for Johansson to fire in. Just seconds after the goal, IFK's Karl Svensson brought down Hysén and received a second yellow card, and shortly afterwards Sjölund made the game safe with his second goal and his team's third.
'Pretty confident'
After the match Djurgården coach Kjell Jonevret said: "I'm very pleased, of course. It's hard to play well on a pitch like this but I think we controlled the game, and after the sending-off we were pretty confident."
'Should have won'
IFK midfielder Alexandersson was in understandably downbeat mood, adding: "I think we dominated the game and we should have won, but the sending-off was very annoying."
