By Berend Scholten

There was no change on Matchday 14 as the top four clubs all won, Club Brugge KV consolidating their lead of the Belgian First Division by beating R. Excelsior Mouscron 3-0. Timmy Simons scored twice, the first a second-minute penalty, either side of a Rune Lange goal.

Anderlecht win
RSC Anderlecht remain seven points behind Club Brugge in second place after thrashing KVC Westerlo 4-0. Glen De Boeck headed in Besnik Hasi's free-kick on 26 minutes to put the hosts ahead and Pär Zetterberg doubled the advantage five minutes later. Oleg Iachtchouk completed the rout with two goals in three minutes midway through the second half.

Klukowski goal
RAA Louviéroise are third, second-half goals from Michael Klukowski and Mannaseh Ishiaku ensuring a 2-0 win away to KSK Beveren, despite the sending-off of Matthieu Assou-Ekotto. R. Charleroi SC still trail La Louvière on goal difference despite dismantling Cercle Brugge KSV 5-1.

Charleroi victory
Toni Brogno put the home team ahead on 15 minutes, only for Dieter Dekelver to bring Cercle Brugge level ten minutes before the break. But Izzet Agul restored Charleroi's advantage moments before half-time and Charleroi ran away with the match in the second half with strikes from Mahamadou Kere (2) and Frank Defays.

Standard defeat
R. Standard de Liège lost ground with a 4-1 defeat at K. Sint Truidense VV. Tamas gave the home side the lead and though Jorge Wiston Curbelo equalised for Standard, goals from Mathieu Béda, Kris Buvens and Benjamin De Ceulaer ensured a comfortable victory for Sint-Truiden.

Gent fifth
KAA Gent moved up to fifth after their sixth successive home win, 3-1 over KSC Lokeren OV. Goals from Moubarak Boussoufa and Mamar Mamouni within the first 22 minutes put them ahead and though Lokeren reduced the deficit through Marc Hendrikx, Ivica Jarakovic sealed matters.

Genk climb
KRC Genk went sixth with a 3-1 away success at KV Oostende, despite falling behind to Orlando Engelaar's first-minute strike. Second-half goals from Serge Djamba-Shango, Kevin Vandenbergh and Faris Haroun won the points for Genk.

De Wilde hat-trick
Defeat left Oostende bottom, but fellow strugglers FC Molenbeek Brussels Strombeek and RAEC Mons also lost. Mons were beaten 1-0 at home by KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen, Moussa Dembele getting the goal in a match that saw Dieudonné Londo sent off. Brussels fared worse, thrashed 5-1 at K. Lierse SK with Bjorn De Wilde getting a hat-trick.
