Speedy promotion
Jol first joined as assistant manager under Jacques Santini in June 2004, but was promptly promoted to manager four months later when Santini resigned. The 49-year-old Dutchman has presided over a successful spell for the team and brought in some big-name players such as midfielder Edgar Davids.
