Robinson extends Tottenham stay

West Ham United FC have agreed a new two-year contract with Shaun Newton. The 29-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and Charlton Athletic FC midfielder arrived at Upton Park on a short-term deal in March to bolster the club's successful promotion push to the Premiership.

Former England captain Tony Adams has become a trainee youth coach at Dutch club Feyenoord. The 38-year-old ex-Wycombe Wanderers FC manager and Arsenal FC defender said: "I believe I can teach players a lot with my experience but I also hope to pick up a feel of the Dutch youth programme and the structure of Feyenoord."

SC Braga's Brazilian forward Igor has been loaned to CF Estrela da Amadora for one year. The 25-year-old won the Portuguese Cup on loan with Vitória FC last season but failed to establish himself as a regular. Igor arrives at Estrela having been included in the deal that took Davide to Braga.

Valencia CF right-back Javier Garrido has left UEFA Intertoto Cup contenders AS Saint-Etienne after a year on loan. Due to a serious knee injury, the 26-year-old played only 10 league games for Les Verts.

Real Racing Club Santander have completed their third summer signing in midfield player Francisco Casquero, who joins on a four-year contract from Sevilla FC. The 29-year-old made just nine league appearances with Sevilla last season and rejected the club's offer to renew his contract for an extra year.

Cádiz CF have signed defender Mário Silva on a free transfer from FC Porto. The 28-year-old, who during his time at Porto won UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup and Portuguese SuperLiga winners' medals, has agreed a two-year contract.

Another promoted Spanish side, RC Celta de Vigo, have made Sevilla goalkeeper Esteban Suárez their second acquisition of the transfer window. The 30-year-old, part of the Spain team that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 1998, has agreed a three-year deal.

Serbian defender Nikola Jolovic has moved from FC Torpedo Moskva to FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast on loan until the end of season with the option of a permanent deal. The 26-year-old is a graduate of the FK Partizan academy.

Georgian striker Mikheil Ashvetia has moved from FC Lokomotiv Moskva to FC Rostov as part of the transfer of Malawian Esau Kanyenda from Rostov to Lokomotiv. The 27-year-old Ashvetia, who has played for a number of Georgian sides, joined Lokomotiv in the summer of 2003.

JK Tammeka Tartu have signed Brazilian midfielder Marcelo Gomes and have also taken former Estonia Under-21 goalkeeper Kert Kütt from FC Kuressaare. FC Levadia Tallinn have landed midfielder Siksten Kasimir on a six-month loan from JK Merkuur Tartu.

The 31-year-old Derek Stillie has joined Dundee United FC from Dunfermline Athletic FC for an undisclosed fee. The Tannadice Park club have lost first-choice goalkeeper Tony Bullock to Gillingham FC this summer while loan signing Nick Colgan has returned to Barnsley FC.

Greek team Panionios NFC have announced the capture of Czech midfielder David Langer from FK Mladá Boleslav. The 29-year old has penned a two-year deal with an option for a further season.
