Article body
Everton FC have made central defender Joleon Lescott their third summer signing for an undisclosed fee.
Four-year contract
The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract at the English Premiership club after a reported €8m move from first division side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Lescott has spent his entire career at the Midlands team, making 212 appearances in the past six years after breaking through as a 17-year-old in 2000/01. A knee injury kept him out of the entire 2003/04 campaign, when Wolves were last in the Premiership. Everton, who finished eleventh last season, have already signed United States goalkeeper Tim Howard and England striker Andrew Johnson.
