Edin Džeko scored in each half as Manchester City FC heaped more misery on Manchester United FC with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford that lifts them up to second in the Premier League.
City, now three points behind Chelsea FC with two games in hand, took the lead after only 48 seconds, Džeko following up to score from close range after Samir Nasri had struck the woodwork.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina forward turned in his tenth league goal of the season 11 minutes into the second half, evading Rio Ferdinand from a Nasri corner and placing a side-foot volley inside the near post. Yaya Touré drove in a late third for Manuel Pellegrini's team.
United have now lost ten games this term, the most in a single season since the inception of the Premier League in 1992, and six at home – one more than in the three previous campaigns combined.
