Marta is the head of the legal department of the Portuguese Football Federation, where she has worked since 2016. She had previously worked for a firm in public law and, since 2012, in sports law.
She is an experienced lawyer in litigation and arbitration proceedings.
She completed the UEFA Football Law Programme, second edition, from which she graduated with distinction, is an author of many sports law related articles and is often called up to speak at national and international sports law conferences and courses. Marta is the deputy director of the Portuguese Sports Law Review.
She joined the UEFA Legal Committee and is a member of the Appeals Body since 2020.
Marta is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and has a master’s degree in public law.
