Neil Doncaster

Neil has been involved in the football industry since 1997 in a series of senior positions. Neil is currently the chief executive of the Scottish Professional Football League, a position he has held since 2009.

Neil has represented the Scottish professional game on the board of the Scottish FA since 2018. In that role, he was also a member of the UEFA Legal Committee.

From 1997 to 2009, first as company secretary & head of operations, and then from 2001 as chief executive, Neil led the drive to position Norwich City FC not only as a financially sound organisation, but also one at the heart of its community as a consultative, accessible family club.

Neil is an MBA and a qualified solicitor. He is the only person to have been a director of both the English FA and the Scottish FA and has also served on the boards of the English Football League and the European Leagues. His work with the English Football Association included chairing disciplinary tribunals.

He joined the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in 2020.
