Mircea Pascu served at the helm of Romanian football between February and August 1990, having previously been vice-president between 1983 and 1989.
Born in Petrosani on 6 November 1934, he was president of several clubs during his football career, including Corvinul Hunedoara, Jiul Petroșani and UFC Rapid București. Mircea Pascu was also involved in tennis as a long-time coach and advisor to the Romanian Tennis Federation.
He was a member of the UEFA Club Competitions Committee (1984-92) and Fair Play Committee (1992-98), as well as a member of the UEFA Amicale des Anciens circle of former UEFA committee members.
