Italian kit manufacturer Macron has officially unveiled the kits, which will be used by the match officials at UEFA EURO 2020, which gets underway on 11 June.

The jerseys come in four different colours: black, neon yellow, neon blue and neon pink.

The new jerseys preserve the traditional colours sported by referees: black, neon yellow, neon blue and neon pink. They are characterized by an embossed print on the front, featuring a map of Europe on which boundaries and barriers have been erased, to convey a sense of a community.

Black shorts accompany all four tops, and the socks echo the colours of the jerseys, interrupted by one black horizontal stripe bearing the Macron Hero logo. The jerseys have a slim-fit cut, while the micromesh inserts allow maximum breathability.

“We are all looking forward to UEFA EURO 2020 getting underway and we are delighted with the kits that Macron have produced for our match officials,” said UEFA's chief refereeing officer Roberto Rosetti.

"This is a company that is always pushing the boundaries to come up with the latest innovations to ensure that referees feel as comfortable as possible when undertaking such an important and high-pressured role on the field of play."

Italy’s Daniele Orsato, Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz from Spain, Stéphanie Frappart and Clément Turpin from France all took part in a promotional shoot to launch the kits at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the venue which will host the opening match of the tournament on 11 June.

Orsato, Lahoz and Turpin have all been named as referees for the upcoming UEFA EURO, while Frappart who has officiated at several matches in UEFA’s men’s club and national team competitions this season, has been selected as a support match official* and in the process, becomes the first female official that has been selected for a men’s EURO.

Macron became the official UEFA Referee Match Kit Supplier in 2019, which sees the Italian sportswear manufacturer provide the uniforms for all of UEFA’s competitions.
