AB: AZ Alkmaar

The UEFA Appeals Body has taken the following decision affecting the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches:

Match: UEFA Europa Conference League AZ Alkmaar vs. Gil Vicente FC, played on 18 August 2022 in the Netherlands.

The appeal lodged by AZ Alkmaar is partially upheld. Consequently, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body’s decision of 1 September 2022 is amended as follows:

Decision

To fine AZ Alkmaar €30,000 and to order the partial closure of the AZ Alkmaar stadium (i.e. the sectors W, X1 and X2) during the subsequent UEFA competition match in which AZ Alkmaar will play as host club, for throwing of objects. Said partial stadium closure is subject to a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.
