UEFA Appeals Body decisions affecting the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches

AB meeting of 22 August 2023

The UEFA Appeals Body has announced the following decisions which would affect the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches:

UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/2024

Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC vs. AEK Larnaca FC (1:0), 17.08.2023

Decision:

Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC

1. To fine Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC €10,000 and to order the partial closure of Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC’s stadium during the next (1) UEFA club competition match in which Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC will play as host club, for the discriminatory behaviour of its supporters. Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC shall communicate to UEFA, prior to the match, the sector(s) to be closed, which shall consist of at least 3,000 seats.

2. To fine Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC €20,000 for blocking of public passageways.

UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/2024

FK Partizan vs. Sabah (2:0), 17.08.2023

Decision:

1. To order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision dated 29 March 2023 (i.e. the partial stadium closure of FK Partizan’s stadium, which shall consist of at least 2,000 seats, during the next (1) UEFA competition match it plays as host club), for the racist behaviour of its supporters.

2. To fine FK Partizan €30,000 and to order the additional partial closure of FK Partizan’s stadium, which shall consist of at least 15,000 additional seats, during the next (1) UEFA competition match in which FK Partizan will play as host club, for the discriminatory conduct of its supporters.

3. FK Partizan shall communicate to UEFA, prior to the next UEFA competition match it will play as host club, the sector(s) to be closed, which shall consist of at least 17,000 seats.

4. To fine FK Partizan €30,000 for its failure to ensure the protection of the playing area against intruders and for the invasion of the field of play.

5. To fine FK Partizan €10,000 for transmitting a provocative message of an offensive nature.

UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/2024

NK Maribor vs. Fenerbahçe SK, (0:3), 17.08.2023

Decision:

1. To fine Fenerbahçe SK €30,000 and to ban Fenerbahçe SK from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next one (1) UEFA competition match for lighting of a firework, throwing of objects, acts of damage and crowd disturbances.

2. Fenerbahçe SK is ordered to contact NK Maribor within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters, i.e., for the damaged seats.
