CEDB meeting of 19 December

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has taken the following decision:

Match: Legia Warszawa vs. AZ Alkmaar, 14.12.2023, UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/2024

Incidents:

Lighting of fireworks, Art. 16(2c) of UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)

Provocative message of an offensive nature (illicit chants), Art. 16(2)(e) DR

Decision:

The CEDB has decided:

To order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the UEFA Appeals Body in its decision of 13 September 2023 (i.e. to order the partial closure of the Legia Warszawa stadium, which shall consist of the North Stand sector behind the goal where the home club supporters are seated), during the next one (1) UEFA competition match it plays as host club, for lighting of fireworks, in accordance with Article 26(3) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

To fine Legia Warszawa €40,000 and to order the partial closure of the Legia Warszawa stadium (i.e. the North Stand sector behind the goal where the home club supporters are seated) for one (1) additional UEFA competition match in which Legia Warszawa will play as host club, for lighting of fireworks.

To fine Legia Warszawa €10,000 for transmitting a provocative message of an offensive nature.
