Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA President:

Welcome to Sweden for the 2024 UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship final tournament!

The revamped qualifying system has already enhanced competitiveness across the continent, offering great matches and helping talented young players prepare for a senior international career. Now, the seven best teams have advanced through the qualifiers, joining the hosts in this final sprint for prestigious European silverware.

Sweden, renowned for its excellence in women’s football and its track record of successfully hosting significant events, including the 2013 UEFA Women’s EURO and the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League final, promises another memorable occasion.

We thank the Swedish Football Association and President Fredrik Reinfeldt for their hospitality and great effort. And now, it’s time for football’s future stars to take the floor and shine bright on the international stage.

Good luck to all the teams and may the best one win!

Fredrik Reinfeldt, SvFF President:

On behalf of the Swedish Football Association and the host cities of Malmö and Lund I would like to welcome you all – players, staff and supporters – to Sweden and the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship 2024. We are all looking forward to a tournament held in a spirit of European friendship and fair play.

The Swedish FA has a long history of investing in girls’ and women’s football. We are very happy to have, once again, been given the honour of arranging an international tournament on home soil.

Role models are important for all girls and boys in football. During the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship 2024 we will see new stars in the making. Future stars that, here and now, will become new role models for the young supporters we expect to see in the stands in Malmö and Lund.

I am convinced that we can look forward to a tournament full of drama and excitement.

Let the games begin!
