Frankfurt, Istanbul, Leipzig and Oslo to stage upcoming UEFA club competition finals.

The UEFA Executive Committee met today in Dublin, ahead of the UEFA Europa League final, and took decisions on a variety of matters.

UEFA club competition finals

The hosts for upcoming UEFA club competition finals were appointed as follows:

UEFA Champions League

2026: Budapest, Puskás Aréna

2027: Decision suspended until September, subject to Italian Football Federation (FIGC) submitting information on refurbishment plans for the San Siro stadium in Milan.

UEFA Europa League

2026: Istanbul, Beşiktaş Park

2027: Frankfurt, Stadion Frankfurt

UEFA Conference League

2026: Leipzig, RB Arena

2027: Istanbul, Beşiktaş Park

UEFA Women’s Champions League

2026: Oslo, Ullevaal Stadion

2027: New bidding procedure to be opened as Germany has already been appointed for finals in 2026 and 2027 and therefore the bid of Stuttgart could not be considered.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final draw

The procedure for the final draw for UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 16 December 2024, was approved.

The 16-team final tournament will be played between 2 and 27 July in the cities of Basel (opening match and final), Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Sion, St Gallen, Thun and Zurich.

Standing Facilities Observer Programme

The UEFA Executive Committee received an update on the Standing Facilities Observer Programme, which has been ongoing since the start of the 2022/23 season, and approved the extension of the programme for the 2024/25 season, with the addition of clubs from Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Scotland and Austria, where standing facilities are allowed at domestic level. This will ensure a greater sample size and diversity of data.

The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee is scheduled for 24 September 2024 in Prague, Czechia.
