Mr Diallo announced his intentions to help France’s clubs’ financial situation, launch Ligue 3, a new professional football league, and a new plan to support the grassroots game.

A UEFA Executive Committee member, Diallo was elected FFF president last year. He joined the FFF executive committee as treasurer in March 2021, and was appointed deputy vice-president in December of the same year.

Diallo first rose to prominence within French football as CEO of the union of professional football clubs (1992–2021). He was a member of the board of the French Professional Football League from 2009 to 2021, also serving on the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. Since 2013, Diallo has overseen Cosmos, which represents all employer organisations within French sport.
