Mr Dyukov has been president of the RFU since 2019. "Football is the number one sport in Russia," he said. "Seventy-two per cent of the country's population is interested in this sport and the RFU’s task is to create conditions for the development of football [and] by 2030, we plan to increase the number of people who play to eight million."
