Candidates for election to the UEFA Executive Committee at the 49th Ordinary UEFA Congress

Candidates announced for ten seats on the UEFA Executive Committee.

The UEFA Executive Committee and all 55 UEFA member associations have been informed of the list of candidates standing for election at the 49th UEFA Ordinary Congress on 3 April 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia.

By the deadline of Monday 3 February 2025, the UEFA Administration had received applications from the following candidates (in alphabetical order) to fill the ten vacancies on the UEFA Executive Committee.

a) Candidate for one female member position on the UEFA Executive Committee (for a four-year term):

1. Klaveness Lise, Norway

b) Candidates for seven member positions on the UEFA Executive Committee (for a four-year term):

1. Blanc Dominique, Switzerland

2. Gravina Gabriele*, Italy

3. Kulesza Cezary, Poland

4. Kustić Marijan, Croatia

5. Lahti Ari, Finland

6. Melikbekyan Armen, Armenia

7. Paauw Frank, Netherlands

8. Pohlak Aivar, Estonia

9. Proença Pedro, Portugal

10. Quaderer Hugo, Liechtenstein

11. Watzke Hans-Joachim*, Germany

* standing for re-election

c) Candidates for two member positions on the UEFA Executive Committee (for a two-year term):

1. Ļašenko Vadims, Latvia

2. Louzán Abal Rafael, Spain

3. Shevchenko Andrii, Ukraine

4. Vassallo Bjorn, Malta

5. Zuares Moshe, Israel

All of the above-mentioned candidates have successfully passed the requisite eligibility check carried out by an electoral committee composed of members of the UEFA Governance and Compliance Committee, in accordance with Article 21(6) of the UEFA Statutes and Article 4bis of the Regulations Governing the Implementation of the UEFA Statutes.

Note to media:

The candidates for the election of five European members on the FIFA Council, which will also take place at the UEFA Congress in Belgrade, were announced in January. The full agenda of the upcoming UEFA Congress, together with information regarding the media accreditation procedure, will be communicated in due course.
