During the meeting, Mr Čeferin discussed the on-going development and improvement of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes infrastructure projects supported by UEFA.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the 2026 UEFA Women's Under-19 EURO finals, following its successful staging of Under-17 edition in 2022, the first time the nation had staged a UEFA final tournament.
"I am always glad when I come to Sarajevo," Mr Čeferin said. "We talked about everything, and mostly about infrastructure, the national stadium that Bosnia and Herzegovina should have, like most countries in the region, and we will work on that plan."
Mr Zeljković added: "Today is a great day for football and for the BHFF. I would like to thank President Aleksander Čeferin for taking the time to visit us. This means a lot for our football and our federation. It is a sign that we are moving in the right direction and that we have support for all the projects we have undertaken. We must emphasise that without UEFA’s support, these projects would not have been possible."
After visiting the BHFF headquarters, President Čeferin also attended a reception at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina where he was received by Željka Cvijanović, Chairwoman of the country's Presidency.
