Article body
In collaboration with our long-term partner AccessibAll, the survey aims to provide disabled supporters with a platform to share their matchday experiences, from how regularly they attend games, to what they see as areas of development, and experiences or incidents of discrimination.
The survey aims to collect insight from across European football's 55 national associations, providing valuable insights for each association while also offering an overview of the main differences across the continent.
The results of the survey will build the basis of how UEFA and national associations can work together to increase accessibility at matches, identifying how we can further support improved accessibility in football infrastructure and services.
All participants will receive information about the accessibility features and language options of the survey as they access the link to this, and dedicated AccessibAll contacts will stand available if any further support is needed, or if participants have any questions.
The survey is open until 31 May and can be accessed here.
Accessibility within UEFA’s sustainability efforts
The UEFA Football Sustainability Strategy 2030 includes a policy specific to accessibility and disability football, titled 'Football for All Abilities'. Within this, one of the topics set for the policy includes ensuring "improved accessibility for disabled people to stadiums, football facilities and televised matches".
Last year, we published the new UEFA Accessibility Guidelines, and its accompanying Accessibility Checklist, offering guidance and best practice for accessibility across infrastructure and services.
In addition, we have also updated the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations and UEFA Sustainable Infrastructure Guidelines to include further specifications and requirements related to accessibility.
To raise further awareness of disability hate, the discriminatory practices targeted at disabled people, we also developed a specific module on disability within our UEFA OUTRAGED programme.
