Following his election, Pröll, the former Austrian Vice Chancellor, underlined the importance of collaboration and national identity, stating: "There is only one Team Red-White-Red."

With a background in finance and leadership, Pröll will bring a steady hand and long-term vision to the ÖFB, focusing on improved governance, strategic development and stronger cohesion throughout Austrian football.

The 56-year-old made it clear that team key to its future success: "The greatest hope and the greatest asset of the ÖFB lies in its employees. At the beginning, it will be intense – getting to know people, understanding the challenges in detail, helping shape decisions. But I will take the time."
