Pröll, a former Austrian vice chancellor, is overseeing the development of the new ÖFB strategy that will prioritise sporting excellence, financial stability and football’s wider role in driving positive social change. The strategy will build on the association’s current focus on strengthening Austrian grassroots football, promoting the women’s game, and securing a first qualification for the men's FIFA World Cup in almost 30 years.

Later this year, the ÖFB will open a new headquarters and training campus, both partly funded by UEFA HatTrick funding.
