The UEFA Executive Committee met today in Tirana, Albania and appointed the hosts for several finals as follows:
2027 UEFA Champions League final – Estadio Metropolitano, Madrid, Spain
2027 UEFA Women’s Champions League final – National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland
2026 UEFA Super Cup – Salzburg, Austria
2026 UEFA Futsal Champions League final – Pesaro, Italy
2027 UEFA Futsal Under-19 EURO – Astana, Kazakhstan
2027 UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO – Osijek, Croatia
The UEFA Executive Committee also made other decisions and discussed further topics as follows:
Long-term injuries of outfield players in UEFA men’s club competitions
The Executive Committee approved an amendment to the 2025/26 UEFA men’s club competitions’ regulations to admit the temporary replacement of a maximum of one outfield player with long-term injury or illness during the league phase until matchday 6 included.
The reasoning for the adaptation is to ensure that squad lists are not unfairly reduced and players are safeguarded from additional workload pressure.
Bonus payments for 2025 UEFA Women’s Nations League Finals
The committee approved a total amount of €1,000,000 for distribution, based on teams’ placement in the UEFA Women’s Nations League Finals, as indicated below:
| Fourth-placed team | €150,000 | 15% |
| Third-placed team | €200,000 | 20% |
| Runner-up | €250,000 | 25% |
| Winner | €400,000 | 40% |
Request for authorisation of domestic league matches to be played outside the UEFA territory
The Executive Committee discussed the requests from the RFEF and FIGC to approve the playing of one domestic league match each outside the home country, in particular outside the UEFA territory.
The committee acknowledged it as an important and growing issue but expressed the desire to ensure that it has the views of all stakeholders before coming to a final decision.
There are many issues to resolve and as the European governing body, UEFA has a responsibility to take all such factors into account.
As a result, no decision was taken today but UEFA will undertake a round of consultation with all stakeholders in European football - including fans.
Football in Schools event
Earlier in the day, a successful grassroots event was held at the FSHF Football House in Tirana, as part of the UEFA Football in Schools programme. An opening ceremony featured UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin and Albanian Football Association President Armand Duka, before 100 boys and girls from local schools enjoyed a range of football activities, teaming up on the field with the UEFA president and footballing legends to celebrate the success of the Europe-wide initiative.
Next meeting
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee is scheduled for 3 December 2025 at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
