About UEFA Members

UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin welcomed Haris Loizides to the House of European Football for the first time on Tuesday.

Loizides was elected Cyprus Football Association (CFA) president in June, having served as deputy president since 2018.

During the visit, the pair discussed the development of Cypriot football, which continues to go from strength to strength. This is thanks in part to the UEFA Football in Schools programme, which gives 50,000 schoolchildren access to two training sessions each week, with the CFA also introducing new links between schools and local clubs and academies.
