The UEFA Executive Committee met today at the House of European Football in Nyon and appointed Germany as host of UEFA Women’s EURO 2029.
The sixteen-team tournament will take place in eight venues (Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Leipzig, Munich and Wolfsburg) in the summer of 2029.
Commenting following the appointment of the hosts, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, said:
“I want to sincerely thank all three bid delegations for their tireless work and commitment throughout the process. Each bid showcased vision and exceptional teamwork and I am sad that we had to choose only one. Congratulations to Germany! We look forward to an unforgettable tournament in the summer of 2029.”
To be appointed as hosts, absolute majority was needed in the first round, and the voting results were as follows:

Appointment of hosts for youth women’s and men’s competitions
The UEFA Executive Committee appointed the hosts for the final tournaments of several youth women’s and men’s competitions as follows:
UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship
2028: Belgium
2029: Türkiye
UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship
2028: Portugal
2029: Italy
UEFA European Men’s Under-17 Championship
2028: Lithuania
2029: Moldova
UEFA European Men’s Under-19 Championship
2027: Czechia
2028: Bulgaria
2029: Netherlands
Next meeting
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee is scheduled for 11 February 2026 on the eve of the 50th UEFA Ordinary Congress in Brussels, Belgium.
