David Terrier has been president of FIFPRO Europe since May 2023. He is also the current president of the French professional footballers’ union (UNFP), a role he has held since 2024, after serving for several years as vice-president. A long-time advocate for players’ rights, he has been a member of the FIFPRO Global Board since 2021.
Before his union leadership, Terrier enjoyed a professional playing career spanning over 330 matches. A central defender, he played for clubs including FC Metz (1992-97) – where he won the French League Cup (1996) – West Ham United (1997-98), Newcastle United (1998-99), OGC Nice (1999-2001), AC Ajaccio (2001-05), and US Créteil (2005-07). He also represented France at under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels.
