Duka was unanimously re-elected at the FSHF's assembly in Tirana on Monday and will now be in position until 2030. During his presidency, Albania has qualified twice for the UEFA EURO, and hosted the first-ever UEFA Conference League final in 2022 at the brand-new national stadium, which was build with the support of UEFA HatTrick funding. The nation will also co-host the 2027 UEFA Under-21 EURO alongside Serbia.
"Albanian football has made great strides, but it has not yet reached where we want it to be. The phase of rapid growth must be followed by a phase of consolidation," Duka said. "The next mandate must be based on stability, a long-term vision and bold decisions."
Duka has also served as a UEFA Executive Committee member since 2019, as vice-president since 2023, and is also a member of FIFA's Member Associations Committee.
