Møller Christensen's Danish mandate extended

A UEFA Executive Committee member since 2019, Møller Christensen was appointed as one of five UEFA vice-presidents last year and will now continue as DBU president until 2030.

The DBU has heavily invested in community football in recent years, and recently launched the Danmarks Klubhus (Denmark’s Clubhouse) programme, aiming to ensure opportunities for play and learning across the nation, with modern facilities to benefit everyone.

"We want to develop Danish football, so that we can both win on the pitch and make a bigger difference off the pitch, especially for children and young people," Møller Christensen said, before reflecting on the association's recent work.

"When I look back, there is a lot to be satisfied with. Not only the results, but the work and energy that is put into the clubs, on the pitches and around the teams throughout the country every day," he said. "That is why I would also like to say a big thank you to all volunteers, coaches, referees, club managers, players, local unions, the League Federation, the Division Association, employees, partners and fans for your great efforts and commitment in the past year. Without you – no football. It can be said that simply."

At this weekend's Congress, the DBU also celebrated the nation's own unsung heroes with awards for clubs and individuals contributing to the sport across the country. They also won the Best Disability Initiative at the UEFA Grassroots Awards in 2025, as well as the Best Social Initiative in 2023, for a project promoting football for the over-60s.
