History: This international club competition was first organised in the 2014/15 season and has since taken place every year (with some variations to the format) with the exception of the 2020/21 season. The purpose of the Cup is primarily to give international club competition experience to young players, including those from clubs which do not regularly qualify for such international club competitions.
The last four editions of this competition have been approved in accordance with the UEFA Authorisation Rules governing International Club Competitions (Edition 2024).

Given that this request concerns a well-known competition which has taken place for several years already, the deadline for interested parties to submit any statements runs until 8 May 2026 at 17:00 CET.
