UEFA Executive Committee agenda for Thessaloniki meeting

The UEFA Executive Committee will hold its next meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, on Tuesday 15 September 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00 local time.

The main points on the agenda are:

- Host appointments:

• 2028 & 2029 UEFA Champions League finals

• 2028 & 2029 UEFA Europa League finals

• 2028 & 2029 UEFA Conference League finals

• 2028 & 2029 UEFA Women’s Champions League finals

• 2027 & 2028 UEFA Super Cup

• 2027 UEFA Futsal Champions League finals

- Regulations of the UEFA European Women’s Championship, including UEFA Women’s Nations League and Women’s European Qualifiers (2027-29)

- Regulations of the 2027/28 UEFA men’s and women’s youth competitions

- Amendments to the Regulations of the UEFA Nations League (2026/27) – new play-off system (for transition to the new concept approved in May with three leagues instead of four)

In the early afternoon, a grassroots football festival will take place in the city centre of Thessaloniki at Aristotelous Square, as part of the UEFA Football in Schools programme, with an opening ceremony featuring UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin and Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) president Makis Gagatsis.

Sixty boys and girls from local schools will participate in the festival alongside a number of international and Greek football legends, including Oliver Bierhoff, Christian Karembeu, Aljoša Asanović, Nadine Kessler, Theodoros Zagorakis, Angelos Basinas, Dimitris Papadopoulos and Dimitra Panteliadou.

UEFA will issue a media release following the meeting to communicate the decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee. Please note that no media activities are scheduled around the meeting.

As part of the UEFA Football in Schools event, a mixed zone will be arranged at the venue (Aristotelous Square) to accommodate media representatives’ requests, with facilities available for both filming and photography.
