The most prolific scorer in the Sammarinese league, SP La Fiorita's Simon Parma hopes his current prolific streak will take him into European competition.

Feared striker
With over 50 goals in less than three years for the club, and six in the first seven games of the new season, the 23-year-old - who started his career at Italian Serie D side Riccione Calcio and joined La Fiorita from SP Tre Fiori in January 2004 - is the most feared striker in the Grand Duchy at the moment.

'Our dream'
Parma prefers to let his goals do the talking but he made no secret of his ambitions for the season with the side coached by Nicola Berardi. "I want to score and help my team win trophies," he said. "Our dream is to have the opportunity to play in European competitions."

Well settled
Parma has settled well at his club, saying: "I started my footballing adventure at La Fiorita in the middle of the 2003/2004 season and I still feel very well here. This is the perfect environment for me and I think I would like to stay at the club for several years."

Castle side
That will be great news for the side from Montegiardino castle who are challenging for the top place in Group A. After narrowly missing out on a place in San Marino's end-of-season play-offs last season they are hoping to go all the way this season and maybe even grab a UEFA Cup place as Sammarinese champions.

Best yet
Parma scored ten league goals and two more in the San Marino Cup in his first half seasion with La Fiorita, and then 13 in the league and one in the cup in the 2004/05 campaign. Last season's haul of 17 goals saw him fall just one short of sharing the nation's golden boot but he hopes better is to come.

Better still
"My objective is to score at least 15 goals even if, to be honest, I hope to improve my personal record of 17," Parma, who is now team captain at La Fiorita, told uefa.com. "We have a great side this season - we are complete in every part of the pitch and we certainly don't lack the quality to achieve good results."
